Sparkling lights. Twinkling eyes. Her golden hair wrapped around her neck like a warm scarf. A gentle breeze would've been enough to knock me over in this moment. My throat was clogged with unspoken words and wishes. The night had only just begun and yet it felt like an eternity.
"Come with me" she whispered. A siren couldn't have been more convincing.
We walked through the dusk soaked town. Past the maroon painted bridge, past the cars with their blinding lights. My body was above water but I felt drowned. Muffled sounds of logic echoed and blurred visions of rationality desperately appeared before me. I couldn't understand them. Her cool

give her goosebumps
something to think about before sleep
anxious sigh
He likes girls who laugh at his expense
have quirky smiles
cute giggles and sparkly eyes
a good audience
She likes guys who keep their distance
have time alone
stay away, no thing as authentic comfort

it doesn't exist
authentic love is just an idea

take me to the waking morning where the sun dusts the city lights and the river runs to the end of the seashore, diving waves climb on the white trails of planes in the air, travel the oceans and seas sing songs as shaman prayers and dance as the high priestess i see you disappear in the clouds of utopia maybe you’ll never come back the moon will eat the light of night and numb the sleep in the eyes crawl in the drought of forgiving and flee for the danger of fire the greatness of godesses forever pure- ©gilly20170621

Because I'm silly.
I've been reading all these wonderful poems by Shel Silverstein and Emily Dickinson and these geniuses and felt all inspired only to be dumbfounded by my complete LACK OF POETRY WRITING ABILITY, which made me sad.

Lol. First, this is quite good poetry. Second, don't get discouraged because you can't do something. Even the best writers have to practice to get better. Keep your head up, stay optimistic and one day you'll accomplish something beautiful.
